–How you come in painting/art field

Well, it wasn’t really planned. I always had this skill, as a kid I was copying Disney movies, video games famous characters such as Mario or Sonic. Then at school on lessons when I was bored I did some comics just to pass the time. Then started “digital art boom” and of course I was very impressed by some amazing artists I discovered on Internet. So I started to experiment a little bit with software. I published some of the works on DA and received positive feedback, so since then I can’t stop ;)

–How much time you spend in a week

It really depends on how busy my week is. But I trying to keep 3 hours a day (besides the working hours at office). Also I trying to keep equally spent time on live sketching and digital colouring (to develop both skills)

–Tools of work

For drawings it’s mechanical pencil and eraser. I used to work with 4B pencils, but my hands (walls, table, books) were always dirty, so I switched to cleaner tool.
Software are Hateful Three (Haha!) Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects. Photoshop and Illustrator for drawings (animation assets), After Effects for animation.

–Do you have qualified degree in relevant field?

Yes, I have Bachelor degree in Screen-Based Arts (animation) and Master Degree in Illustration

–What you do other activities in daily life

I’m into sports, mostly martial arts. I do Wing Chun (chinese kung fu) and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. I playing guitar, mostly tabs from famous bands. I love my WiiU, despite all the internet trolling. I collect action figures, reading books, going to concerts, travelling, well I guess all other stuff that people do in daily life

–Currently are you working with any company or freelancing

Yes, I do both. I work as Motion Designer and Freelance Illustrator.
As motion designer I work at 87seconds. Mostly I do illustrations and animations for explanation videos and advertisements.
As freelance illustrator I do everything connected to illusrtration: caricatures, comics, flyers, characters sheets, etc

–A message for newer designers/artists

Wow, that’s tough one. Should I say something inspiring and life affirming? Hmm, why so many people hates Hawaian Pizza? Come on, it’s super tasty. Haha, but seriously, guys if you aim yourself to get into design (illustration, animation, etc), just keep going and don’t stop. To make art for living is incredible feeling! =)
