Hello, my name is Victor Fedotov Butjok, I’m Russian professional self-taught artist from Saint-Petersburg.
How you come in designing field
Starting from childhood I was told of being good at drawing and painting, but I didn’t think seriously of being a professional artist, I even decided to become a software developer at the age of 13 (I was really eager to make video games). When I was at the first year of education, I was interested at lots of anime series, watching them after university classes. Eventually I bought Wacom Bamboo from spare money and started painting and publishing artworks at Russian website drawmanga.ru and got hooked. After that something clicked in my mind and I decided to take art seriously. I graduated and got diploma, but decided not to be a programmer as all of my friends did, although I still hope to have a chance to use my programming interest in future work.

Which is your first art work
My first art work was full-time job at small company which is making casual games, I was responsible for painting characters’ avatars (the image of character when talking to him/her) and them in different poses for in-game cut-scenes. It was tough, but my skill level increased dramatically.
How much time you spend in a week
Currently I’m not working, but still paint pictures for myself about at lest 4 hours a day everyday.
Tools of work
Photoshop mostly, sometimes I use DAZ studio for quick character posing to overpaint it later.

Do some experimental sketches, play video games, sleep. :)
Currently are you working with any company or freelancing
Currently I’m not working at any company or freelancing, having kind of vacation after my previous full-time job.
